Collection of personal data
In general, you can visit our web sites without disclosing any personal information. However, there may be occasions where you choose to give us personal data. This may be for the purposes of:
- receiving further information from us
- for recruitment, assessment and development purposes, by cda on behalf of employers or potential employers, and any related purpose where you have consented to the collection
Disclosure
We will not rent, sell or disclose your personal information to third parties except to your employer or potential employer for the purposes described above, and where you would reasonably expect the information to be disclosed or where we are required to by law.
Log files
Like most web site providers, we use IP (Internet Protocol) addresses to analyse how our websites are being used. This information is not linked to personally identifiable information and is only collected and used at aggregate level for statistical and trend mapping purposes. We may use IP addresses to track the source of an internet-based attack on our web site or if required to by a legal proceeding.
Cookies
Cookies are used to support our login pages. For example, we use cookies to allow users to log back into the site even when they have not logged out properly (the cookie prevents an “account in use” error message). We do not use cookies to store personal information or to link non-personal information with personal data.
Security
We are committed to protecting your personal information and have technical and organisational measures in place to do this. Currently we do not use a secure transmission method for visitors to send us their personal data. All of your information, not just the sensitive information mentioned above, is restricted to our offices and our business partners who are bound by a Confidentiality Agreement. We have implemented security policies and rules and all our employees and those with access to this data are required to abide by these. These policies protect the data we hold from:
- improper use or disclosure
- unauthorised access
- unauthorised modification
- unlawful destruction or accidental loss
Protection of children’s information
cda web sites do not knowingly distribute content or collect information from individuals under the age of sixteen years.
Access to personal information
You can ask us whether we are keeping personal information about you and request to see a copy of that personal data. We will ask you to provide proof of identity before sending you any personal information. This must be provided in the form of:
- A paper copy of a bank statement, utility bill, or other company letter sent to you, or;
- A paper copy of your driving licence, birth certificate, passport or benefits book.
